The ideal candidate has graduated in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Management and is aged between 30/35 with at least 3/5 years’ experience in process engineering for structured companies with highly-automated production processes, such as companies in the automotive, household-appliance or packaging industry. The candidate must have acquired experience in the plastic moulding and/or paper-processing/packaging industry and developed a deep understanding of all types of automation for labour-intensive processes and how savings are made.
He/she will report directly to the plant manager and be responsible for:
- ensuring the technical/technological adequacy and updating for the company's production facilities as regards industrial strategies;
- coordinating and managing production-launch activities for new products;
-manage, together with the other company functions, the budget for technical-industrial-process investments with a view to improving production efficiency and effectiveness;
- guarantee consistency between the strategic production plan and production capacity;
-cooperate with the other functions to develop ongoing improvement plans for the production process.
Key requirements are a direct knowledge of the various methods of continuous improvement and lean production, plastic-moulding technologies and plant automation.
In terms of future career advancement, job-analysis and maintenance-managements skills are preferable.
With fluency in English, the chosen candidate will be ready and willing to travel for the job, including trips abroad.
He/she must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as having a dynamic personality and enterprising approach and good organisational and people-management skills.
